RVA Labs provides fire assay, geochemical, metallurgical and environmental testing for exploration and mining projects, with accurate, reliable results and careful sample handling.
Rock Vein Assay Laboratories Limited is based in Mwanza, Tanzania. We test samples for exploration, mining and environmental projects, and we offer consulting and engineering services alongside our laboratory work.
What we do
Fire Assay & Precious Metals Analysis
Gold by AAS finish; gold by gravimetric finish; silver; platinum group elements (PGE); metallic screen fire assay.
Multi-Element & Instrumental Analysis
ICP-OES multi-element analysis (33 elements); ICP-MS ultra-trace analysis (51–65 elements); XRF fused bead for major oxides; AAS and UV-VIS base metal analysis. Geochemical assessment and water analysis are available through these services and our environmental testing.
Sample Digestion & Chemical Preparation
Aqua regia digestion with ICP analysis; four-acid near-total digestion; carbon and sulphur analysis (LECO method).
Sample Preparation Services
Standard sample preparation package (drying, crushing, splitting and pulverizing); core cutting and sampling; riffle splitting and sample compositing; specific gravity and bulk density testing.
Metallurgical Testwork
Bottle roll and leach testing; BLEG (bulk leach extractable gold); carbon activity and gold-on-carbon analysis, including leach profile testing; flotation testwork; concentrate and bullion assay.
Environmental & Compliance Services
Acid rock drainage and waste testing (ABA, NAG and paste pH); water and effluent analysis, including NEMC compliance reporting; soil contamination assessment.
